Hue To Turn Backpacker Area Into Pedestrian-Only Quarter

  • The Hue Administration has green lighted plans to turn the backpacker area in Phu Hoi Ward into a pedestrian-only square on weekend nights to make the city more attractive to foreign tourists.
  • Starting in late September vehicles will be banned on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from 6.pm to 2.am.
  • The authorities also plan to train vendors and household business owners to improve their sales and service skills.
  • Nguyễn Đình Chiểu Street, along the Hương River, has already been turned into a pedestrians-only area.
